Documentation workshops

Hey, Studio Art Majors!

Learn how to document your work

Attend one of two upcoming Friday workshops to learn how to photographically document your artwork by using adequate lighting, installation, composition, exposure... You will learn the very basics of how to use a tripod, lighting equipment, and you will also be introduced to the fundamentals of how to use Photoshop to color correct your images and reduce lens distortion.

Plan ahead: It is important that your work is effectively documented so that you may submit it for upcoming award opportunities and exhibition applications.

Two FRIDAY workshops by Chris Markin are being offered*:

Friday, October 22nd from 1 PM to 3 PM

Friday, November 5 from 10 AM to 12 PM

A sign-up sheet will be posted outside the Photography Cage in the basement of Art and Design Hall. There is a limit to 20 students per workshop. The workshops are open to all Studio Art Majors of any level and to students in 100 level courses.

EACH WORKSHOP PARTICIPANT SHOULD BRING HIS OR HER OWN DIGITAL CAMERA

*Each of the two workshops covers the same material and you need to sign up for only one of these two dates. Once you have completed a workshop you will be authorized to check out lights and a tripod from the woodshop.
